  • What conditions/diseases can benefit from Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic Medicine can work for anyone. Naturopathic Doctors treat the whole person: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. With this approach in mind, we begin with a comprehensive assessment of every patient. This information helps us to determine and naturally treat the root cause, instead of the symptoms. Ideally, healthy people seek Naturopathic Medicine before they develop a condition/disease. One of the core principles of Naturopathic Medicine is prevention.

  • Are there any other costs associated with care?
In addition to the cost of Naturopathic Visits, any remedies recommended are additional. On average patients spend $100-200 per month on remedies. Naturopathic Doctors are licensed to order lab tests. However, since OHIP does not cover lab tests ordered by Naturopaths. Dr. Bateman attempts to work with your MD to get any necessary lab reports. Occasionally, if we can not get a lab report from your MD, Dr. Bateman will order the lab test for you. The cost of lab tests vary from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars.
